(Feb 07) When a rare snowfall fell upon middle Tennessee, I hurried up the mountain to Collins Gulf in order to see the winter scenery. This is one of the most spectacular views in the entire Savage Gulf. The view was even more spectacular today because countless numbers of beautifully formed snowflakes were falling gently from the sky. They settled noiselessly onto my jacket and gloves, on the leaves, on the exposed bedrock, everywhere! The entire visible expanse of the Gulf, several miles long and six hundred feet deep, was filled by snowflakes. I was awestruck not only by the vast number of snowflakes, but also by the exquisite beauty and intricacy of each one. Each was a miracle of design. There is as much of God in a snowflake as there is in a galaxy of a hundred billion stars! As I marveled at the snowflakes, Holy Spirit began to speak to my heart!
Look how many snowflakes there are! Each is handcrafted by God, and each lands in its appointed place, there to eventually melt and water the earth for the new growth of spring. If God is so wonderfully busy and attentive to each snowflake, what makes you think He is not busy and attentive to your affairs?
