The point of Eph 3:19 is not to preach about the love of God but to personally experience it. Since I need help in this area, I embarked on a new "Dr. Caroline Leaf neurocycle" to more fully and personally know the love of God for me. On the second day of the journey Holy Spirit asked me a question.
"How does somebody who is loved behave?"
The answer came to me several days later as I hiked along the shoreline of a lake surrounded by lovely Fall color.
Somebody who feels loved lives in continual expectation of the next good thing that is going to happen. And when it happens they recognize and rejoice that it comes from the one who loves them.
Conversely, if it feels like God is a million miles away then you will live in continual fear of the next bad thing that is going to happen.
