It's your decision to shine. God

Matt 5:16 - Let your light shine.

Am I missing it?
Instead of giving me detailed instructions for each new situation, all that You usually tell me is just, "let my light shine" and "love unconditionally."

That's all I've ever asked you to do.

Love, shine, and leave the rest to You? That's all?
I was expecting something more complicated.
Even though this is simple, I'm not sure that I can do it very well.
And more to the point, do I really have enough light to make a difference?

I have filled you with light; it's your decision to shine.
