If You Were Deceived Would You Know It?

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Jesus warned (Matt 25, Luke 13) about people who will be suprised when they don't get into Heaven. For example, I thought I was a Christian until I became one. That's the danger of belonging to certain Christian denominations who give their members false assurance of salvation based on the wrong things. This is another of Satan's masterful deceptions!

When it comes to salvation, what is the basis of your assurance? Is it just some "warm fuzzy?" Or can you articulate it?
