Your Final Exam

Romans 14:10–12 - “For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. . . . So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God

We Already Know the Questions - If you are saved, there will be a Final Exam after you die to determine your rewards in Heaven. It will be based on how you lived while on Earth. You forfeit your rewards when you make poor choices.

God can forgive anything you've done. But He can't reward you for what you haven't done!

The Bible mentions specific rewards for working in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), overcoming sin (Romans 6:1-4), and controlling your tongue (James 3:1-9). Various crowns are described in 2 Timothy 2:5, 2 Timothy 4:8, James 1:12, 1 Peter 5:4, and Revelation 2:10. But some are worth more than others. In particular, Jesus told us that the most important thing is to live a life of LOVE (Mark 12:30). Consequently, if you fail to live a life of love you will miss the most important question on the exam! Selah.

If you fail at agape, you have failed at the very heart of your being!

You Can't Deceive God - Each of us thinks between 12,000 - 60,000 thoughts every day. The average man speaks 10,000 words per day and the average woman speaks 25,000. You may forget. But God remembers everything you think, say, and do - including the inward emotions and attitudes of your heart (1 Sam 16:7). It's all in the Book. When you finally stand before God, it will not be your "day in court" to argue and make Him see things your way! God is going to show you - straight from the Book - exactly who you are. There is a lot at stake over the results of this exam, particularly concerning whether you lived a life of love. But as always, God leaves the choice up to you!
