From God's Point of View

Drowning In the Storm!

I had been living in the middle of an endless storm for a very long time, unsure whether I would sink or swim. I continually called out, "Where are You God?" One day He finally answered me in a very unexpected way - by showing me how differently things looked from His point of view!

Tropical Island Paradise

I had a vivid "open" vision of a delightful Summer morning in a tropical paradise under a clear blue sky. I was a life-size block of white marble on an outdoor table under a fabric canopy. A gentle breeze kept the workplace at the perfect temperature. God was seated on a sturdy bench, happily working away on me in a steady cycle of chisel, scrape, sand, examine. He would repeatedly stop his work, check His progress, and smile at what He saw.

At first I was dismayed by how much work remained to be done! (I didn't become a Christian until my early 30's.) My basic shape had been rough-cut from the stone. But important details like my hands and facial features were still undone. When I considered my age, it looked like God had a long way to go and a short time to get there! But He wasn't the least-bit concerned. He was smiling and thoroughly enjoying every moment of His project. He wasn't in a hurry. He was right on schedule. And best of all, He was completely confident (far more than I was!!!) that the finished product would be exactly what He wanted.

Imagine!
If you were given a vision of God in the process of making you, what might it look like?
