Jer 17:9-10 (NIV) - The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

Rom 12:2 (NIV) - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

When God says that we need to transform and renew our mind, the clear implication is that there is something inherently wrong with our minds. Wouldn't it be nice if we could simply order a new one from the catalog? I did! I just bought a new mind for myself (see pix). Actually, it's just a plastic brain model made in China. Some assembly required. This isn't what God is asking us to do. He's telling us that we need to change our inmost being, our true self, our heart. But easier said than done. Exactly how do we go about making this change? That's what this section of the website addresses. Specifically, change will be easier and more likely to be permanent if you first understand a few things about how your brain is "wired" - and how to "rewire" it.

Prayer - Dear Lord, I'd rather deal with my junk now rather than later when I finally stand before You. Do not let me be deceived about myself. Please show me the true condition of my heart. And give me the willingness and desire to change. Show me specifically where I need to change. And show me how to make those changes a permanent part of who I am. In Jesus’ name, amen.
