10. Love Grown Cold

Jesus says (Matt 24:12) that one of the signs of the End Times is that the love (agape) of most will grow cold. He is talking about people who profess to be Christians but who obey God only when it is convenient or self-serving, who want Jesus as Savior but not as Lord, or who think that they can collect the wages of God and the wages of the world too. These individuals want the blessings of belief without fully committing to Christ. They are like a "fair weather" friend. When living in the End Times gets difficult or when persecution begins, the commitment of these Christians will grow cold.

We also see love grown cold in marriages. The divorce rate among Christians is just as high as among non-Christians (approx. 50%). BTW, the oppositie of love isn't hate; it's selfishness. And according to the Bible, selfishness will be rampant during the End Times.
