13. An Explosion of Knowledge!

The Book of Daniel was written in approximately 530 BC, more than 2500 years ago. Daniel 12:4 prophecies that in the End Times there will be an explosion of knowledge. No thoughtful person can deny this sign. Until year 1900, human knowledge doubled approximately every century. Now it is doubling faster than every year. It has reached a point where none of us can keep up with it! Artificial Intelligence (AI) will only accelerate the knowledge explosion.

In the past, information was a scarce resource that only the elites had access to. However, today we are living in an era where anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection can access an unprecedented amount of information. This has had a profound impact on society and culture.

With information available everywhere, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The abundance of information has created a lot of noise, which makes it hard to filter out the relevant from the irrelevant. This has caused people to rely on shortcuts and heuristics to make sense of it all, instead of thinking things through for themselves. This can lead to information being taken out of context, with people accepting a very narrow perspective on issues because that’s what they’ve seen online. In addition, the internet has given anyone the ability to create and disseminate information, regardless of whether or not it’s true. Therefore we have more misinformation and disinformation than ever before. These are intentional attempts to mislead or manipulate people through fake news, propaganda, or biased content.
