2. Re-Establishment of the Nation of Israel

The modern nation of Israel is the biggest sign that the End Times have begun. The nation of Israel is at the epicenter of the End Times Bible prophecy. Israel is the stage on which many End Times events will be played out. Israel is where the headquarters of the Antichrist will be. Israel is where the battle of Armageddon will be fought. Israel is where Jesus will descend from Heaven and return to Earth. Without the nation of Israel, none of these End Times prophecies can occur.

But for almost 2,000 years (79 AD - 1948) there was no nation of Israel at all. For all those years Jews were a dispossesed people without a nation. It seemed impossible and inconceivable that this situation could ever change. Therefore, for centuries Christians assumed that the End Times Biblical prophecies about Israel were merely symbolic. This heresy (aka. "Replacement Theology") is the flawed belief that since the Jews rejected Jesus, God rejected the Jews and replaced them with Christians as His "chosen people". This heresy was a root cause of world-wide antisemitism. The Nazi Holocaust is history’s most extreme example of antisemitism.

But to the surprise and amazement of a watching world, the nation of Israel was suddenly reborn in 1948. The immediate response of the surrounding Arab nations was to attempt to wipe Israel off the map. But despite overwhelming odds, the Israelis decisively won the war. The Arabs continue to lose each new war they start because they are not fighting against Israel; they are fighting against God.
