Connect the Dots?

Bob

A certain woman was one of the charter members of a Christian Homeschool Association that had grown to over 100 families in just a few years. From the beginning she was the visionary leader and manager. But it went to her head and her life became imbalanced. When she walked out of her marriage she told her husband,

“The children come first, and the homeschool support group comes second. If there's any time left after that, and I doubt that there will be, then you come third!"

The woman had not invested in her marriage for years. But this was the first time she clearly drew a line in the heavenlies by the words of her mouth. Shortly afterward the Lord took her homeschooling career away in a sudden and surprising way. He warned the husband a week before it happened to not defend his wife. It was a HUGE "crash and burn" for the woman. God's intent was not to punish her, but to bring her back onto the right path. But the husband couldn't tell her anything because in order to work, she had to see it for herself. He waited a long time before asking his wife,

"Why do you think you were kicked out of the Co-Op?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. They just ganged up on me."

Though it was right in front of her, she never found the "right path" that He had prepared. Not then. . . . and still not after nearly 30 years later. The man could not understand why his wife had not connected the dots because he would much rather face an unpleasant truth than settle for a comfortable lie. But the Lord said,

Not everyone is like you.
